This is a inflatable CPR mask with a safety valve to isolate the user from the victim. We provided concept design, engineering, vendor selection and ran flow simulations on the rigid plastic parts.
We also supported Industrial Design work done by an outside group. The Museum of Modern Art selected the Inflate-A-Shield™ for inclusion in its 2005 exhibition SAFE: Design Takes On Risk.
LAERDAL Medical Inflate-A-Shield received an IDEA Silver Award from the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) in its 2002 annual Industrial Design Excellence Awards program.
